Balochistan Human Rights Activists Association:Urgent: Take the Necessary Action on Releasing of the Young Baloch Ibrahim Mehrnehad  in Custody of Islamic Republic of Iran  

Ibrahim Mehrnehad has been in jail for a long time by now. He  is the younger brother of Ya’qoub Mehrnehad who was sentenced to death penalty last year by Islamic republic of Iran. The only issue that Ya’qoub had in his conscionce was to be a civilian activist and human rights fighter against the unfairness that Baloch people has been facing from a brutal undemocratic political establishment in Iran under the islamic regime.  Meanwhile the only issue that Ibrahim Mehrnehad has on his conscience is the resolute effort that he made for convincing the authorities in Iran that his brother had committed nothing but only raising his voice regarding the unfairness against civilians, keeping in mind that Ya’qoub was even carrying out his activities within  the permitted boundaries.   

Now where the regime has silenced the voice of Ya’qoub for ever, the regime does not still consider its mission as completed, and continues its constantly ongoing suppression in every possible way. Is the voice of human rights activists and freedom fighters silenced for ever now? That is the question that the Islamic establishment in Iran must ask itself. How many Ya’qoubs they intend to kill, and how many Ibrahims they want to hold in their custody?  We all already know the only answer and response from the Islamic republic of Iran.

Ibrahim who, as mentioned, was arrested innocently, was removed from the jail in Zahedan to Kerman without further notice. He has not been dedicated an attorney, and his family has been permitted to meet him in jail only three times since he was arrested.

Even we are convinced that Islamic Republic of Iran would not waste a second for killing any raised voice, we would like to call for attention of all human rights organisations, the Amnesty International in particular, to take the urgent action for making all possible efforts for releasing Ibrahim. It is now, he needs us and our support. We fear justly for his fate, and therefore we all must make a hast before it is too late, and before he faces the same destiny his brother Ya’qoub faced.
