A voice for peace
in southwest Asia
Baluchi Ha'al
An initiative of the American Friends of
Baluchistan, Washington DC
What: Reading of paper “Baluchistan two years
after the assassination of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, former governor
and chief minister” followed by discussion.
Why: Serious human rights violations and extra
judicial killings are taking place in Baluchistan in Pakistan and
Iran.
When: Aug. 30, 2.30 p.m.
Where: Savory Cafe, 7071 Carroll Avenue, Takoma
Park, MD 20912. Tel: 301-270-2233.
How: Come grab your own coffee and take part in a
discussion on society and politics of one of the most fascinating
places on earth—Baluchistan, which simply means the land of the
Baluch, in southwest Asia.
Baluchistan has the dubious distinction of being
one of the richest lands with the poorest peoples on earth today.
Texas-sized, the land is divided among Pakistan, Iran and
Afghanistan.
