Balochistan Human Rights Watch: Call for urgent action  for releasing 8 persons, recently arrested in Zahedan - Balochistan. 

According to the Sunni Online News netmedia agency (Sunni Online), it is unfortunately to be informed that following 7 young sunni balochis (1) from Zahedan were arrested on Sunday 7 September 2008:

1.       Abdoulrahman Shahbakhsh (The brother of Moulavi Hafez Mohammad Ali, the Headmaster of Imam Abuhanifa sunni religious school).

2.       Noor Mohammad Shahbakhsh  (The brother of Moulavi Hafez Mohammad Ali, the Headmaster of Imam Abuhanifa sunni religious school).

3.       Abdoulkarim  (The nephew of Moulavi Hafez Mohammad Ali, the Headmaster of Imam Abuhanifa sunni religious school).

4.       Abdoulghader Naroui

5.       Azizullah Naroui

6.       Mohammad Hossein Khalili

7.       Mohammad Reza Rakhshani

The mentioned persons were arrested by the security forces in Zahedan, and there is no information on where they are kept as prisoner, and neither any knowledge about their situation. 

As it says in the Sunni Online News netmedia agency, the only hypothetical reason why these persons were arrested is their family relationship or congeniality to Moulavi Hafez Mohammad Ali, the Headmaster of Imam Abuhanifa Sunni religious school (2) , which was suited in Azimabad in Zabol. The whole school was completely flattened by the military forces by using bulldozers in the early hours of  Wednesday  27 August  2008.

The school which was one of the largest Sunni schools in Balochistan in Iran had approximately 800 students . In connection with the mentioned devastation, the military forces arrested hundreds of school students and Mr. Abdoulrazagh Berahoui who is a member of ‘’city-council’’ of  Azimabad in Zabol. The students were, however, released later on, while Abdoulrazagh Berahoui (3) still is kept as prisoner, and there is no any information on his situation either.

It is worth mentioning that the islamic regime’s security authorities  have used many different tricks in order to avoid  attornies and lawyers to get involved in similar cases.

We in ‘’Balochistan Human Rights Watch’’ are convinced that this kind of procedure where the individuals are arrested and kept deep under the cover is amongst the most gross violation of basic human rights, and such a procedure is in our understanding as kidnapping, beacuase when the legal system in Iran denies any kind of link to the incidence, there would not be possible for the ‘’International Society’’ to address and call for the  cases. This would undoubtedly result in that the  prisoners will vanish clandestinely

Therefor, we draw the attention of all freedom fighter individuals and organisations, the Amnesty International in particular to an urgent call for saving the life of these innocent persons.
