Dr. Imdad Baloch, Chairman BSO (united) had been arrested by ISI and
Police personnels in Gulistan e Johar, Karachi on 25 March at 3 A.M.
with his comrades including Dr. Allah Nazar (x-chairman BSO), Dr.
Yousaf (Central Press Secretary), Ghulam Rasool (member of Central
Committee), Dr. Naseem (x-member of Central Committee) and many
others. One can safely say that they have been kidnapped by the
Pakistani forces as still no body knows where they have been shifted;
the arrest of the student leaders is still not officially anounced.
In a central press conference, the BSO leaders have anounced a shutter
down strike in Balochistan on 6th April and a Wheel Jam on 10th. At
the same time demonstrations are being held in different areas of
Balochistan and Karachi since the extra-judicial arrest of the student
leaders.
The silence of the Baloch Parliamentry leaders regarding the issue,
however, is raising many question in the Baloch youth's mind. BSO
(united), the vanguard organization of anti-parliamentary Baloch
national struggle, has been a challenge for the parliamentry Baloch
parties since its creation in January 2002. Because of its very
radical stand and as an autonomous student organization, it has been
successful in acheiving the hearts of Baloch youth in a very short
period, causing major problems for the Baloch parliamentary parties as
the members of such parties, being inspired by the anti-parliamentary
stand of BSO (united) have started demanding from the partties'
leadership to bycott the oppressive Pakistani Parliament. The silence
of Baloch Parliamentary parties, thus, can easily be interpreted as a
revenge against BSO (united). Such narrow-mindedness is never
appreciated in any national struggle
