My earlier (following) e-mail implying that
I might attend the June 2, 2007 London Baloch Conference was based on
incomplete information. Now that my information is complete, I have
decided NOT to attend this conference for the following reasons.
1. The conference organizers included
my name before consulting with me and asking for my agreement. I
understand the same happened with some other individuals. In any case,
Please delete my name from the list in your
eylaamia.
2. As I
had mentioned in my (another) earlier note, such a London Conference
should be all-inclusive regardless of the participants' differences of
opinion on certain issues, and regardless of our likes and dislikes of
others. Only after knowing our differences of opinion -- and the reasons
-- , we can think of any reconciliation and unity.
For example, regardless of my differences on
certain issues with our respected and learned brother Waajah GholamRaza
Hosseinborr, his presence in any gathering dealing with the basic Baloch
affairs is a must. There are similar other person in my mind.
Also, I would like to see some new, younger
and independent scholarly faces of men and women (particularly of
those educated in Western colleges and universities) in a conference
aimed at finding a path for a new beginning for the cause of Western
Balochistan. It seems that in all these regards, this conference
announced by you will not be all-inclusive. So, I will not attend.
3. Let me make clear what I had mentioned
vaguely in my earlier note: I will not attend any conference on Western
Balochistan that is controlled by a particular group -- a group that
thinks it has the right to decide who should and who should not speak
for the Baloch cause. It is now obvious that the June 2-3, 2007
conference is planned, and will be controlled by a particular group.
Nadr pa Balochistaan,
I request all the media which have published the announcement
with my name as a participant of the June 2-3, 07 London Conference,
please publish the above letter for correction.
