BSO Chairman to go on hunger strike for the release of
Dr. Allah Nazar and other illegal detainees.
QUETTA, Sept 12: Baloch Students’ Organization
(United) chairman Dr. Imdad Baloch announced here on
Monday that he would go on hunger strike till death,
starting from Oct. 3rd, 2005, until Dr. Allah Nazar
and
other BSO activists are released from Pakistani
illegal detention. Speaking at a press conference,
here at the Quetta Press Club, he demanded that women
and children arrested in Makran should be let go
free.He said," the unlawful detentions would create
hatred between the Baloch people and the
federation".The BSO leader said Baloch women have come
out on the streets to protest against government
atrocities, state tyranny and oppressions, but the
Pakistani rulers are not interested in addressing the
miseries of the oppressed Baloch Nation. He alleged
that during the past five years the Government have
resorted to kidnapping, illegal detentions and
torturing BSO members and other Baloch Nationalist
activists, to force them, to give up their struggle
for their national rights".Dr Imdad Baloch said, "that
he himself was subjected to inhuman torture by
intelligence agencies, but he is committed to his
cause".He said his organization would hold protest
rallies in Quetta and Karachi on Sept. 20th and 30th,
to protest against the government’s oppressive
policies against our Baloch Nation.
